Expansive driveway and Estate Road transformation for a private client in Hampshire

Slatter Estates Surfacing were recently invited to undertake the total refurbishment of the driveway and estate roads at a prestigious residential property. Our team worked closely with the property owner and his agent to design a new surfacing solution for his expansive driveway, whilst also to improve the drainage, safety and aesthetics for his Estate Home.

The existing driveway and estate roads were in need of repair and upgrading, so we proposed a complete resurfacing using buff tarmac. This type of surfacing is ideal for private estates as it offers a high level of durability and safety for home owners and vehicles, whilst being extremely aesthetic.

We began work by improving the existing drainage system and then laid new perimeter kerbs and edgings. The old surfacing was then removed before we laid the new Buff tarmac surface.

Working collaboratively with our supply-chain, the logistics for the delivery and laying of the Buff tarmac was a complex 3 day operation, all expertly managed by Head of Slatter Estates Surfaces, Simon Bradbury. Working with the February temperatures, it was essential to lay the surface as quickly as possible to be able to roll and level the driveway before it set.

The team of over 20 site operatives and Simon ensured the whole process was completed quickly and efficiently, causing minimal disruption to resident, and successfully handed over the driveway to astounding praise and gratitude.
